July 2025 - Jack // S3 Bugeye

My name is Jack and this is my 2002 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport! I live in Greeley, Colorado and this is 7th out of the 11 cars I have ever owned and is by far the longest tenured. It currently has 199k miles and I bought it in October of 2023. I have always had a love for these old Bugeye wagons and rally racing so I started searching for one with the idea to make it a fun, manual transmission daily driver that I could run in rallycross, take camping, haul my hockey equipment around in, and drive to work all in the same week. To sum up this build, it is basically an Outback Sport swapped onto Forester suspension and some other goodies.

The engine is completely stock other than a Tsudo Catback which makes it slow but I really don't care because it was never intended to win street races. I love this car because I don't ever feel the need to baby it, I can drive it in the hail, slide it around in the dirt and snow, and just enjoy the super analog driving experience these old Subarus offer.
