July 2026 - Jon // The Dark Knight

Hello everyone!  I'm Jon from Washington, DC and I am the proud owner of a 2026 WRX - the dark knight.  I was a Jeep guy for the last 10 years and had a great time building out my Wrangler, but as the vehicle continued to give me trouble, I knew it's days were numbered and I needed to get something that would not only fit my lifestyle and needs but would also be dependable and not be in the shop every other week.  I have owned a couple of Subaru's in the past and quickly knew that a WRX would be in my near future. 

When I purchased my WRX, I knew it would be my daily driver so I needed it to work for the mean city streets of our nation's capital, but also wanted something that at the same time was more capable out of the city and off the main roads.  I pulled the stock street wheels off immediately and replaced them with a way more sensible Method Rally 502s and wrapped them in the biggest tires I could squeeze under the stock height -  Falken Wildpeak All Terrain Trail 235/55/17, I even squeezed some mudflaps into the wheel wells, this combination immediately gave the vehicle a much more aggressive stance and more off road capability.  I love the way a blacked-out vehicle looks so the next step was murdering out the WRX.  I fitted the front end with a replacement front grille giving the car a cleaner look and finished it off with a rally innovations light bar that not only looks amazing but adds great functionality for driving on the road less traveled.

I am really happy with the build so far and love the way my WRX looks.  We will see what the future brings for additional mods, maybe a small lift, suspension upgrades, bigger tires, a more aggressive hood scoop, skid plates, a new exhaust with a bit more rumble, who knows...

At this point, I am just happy shifting gears, driving fast, exploring, and traveling with my family and friends to the next adventure.  See you out there!
