July 2022 - Billy H. // Rally Innovator

Hello I’m Billy Huang. As an avid Subaru owner since 2002 owning a 2003 Subaru WRX, I immediately fell in love with the brand. So much, that when the 2004 STI came out, I had traded it in for a 2005 WRX STI. I had enjoyed the STI for 12 years. Put a few mods on it like coil-overs, and even raced autocross in Boeing’s Autocross Club. One of my favorite projects was restoring my 2001 Legacy Turbo – a legend like the great Colin McRae!  After many miles put on the STI, I had traded it in for a 2016 BRZ. As you can see, I have a fair amount of love of Subaru. I currently have a 2018 Subaru WRX sporting the full Rally Innovations Splitter kit & Rear Diffuser and 19” Rays 57Xtremes & Nitto tires. I like these simple mods as they really complement the WRX with an OEM Plus look. I’m an engineer for Boeing and also enjoy basketball and playing the saxophone. Father of two, I hope to pass on my passions to my daughter and son.

Aside from just owning a plethora of Subarus, Billy was also heavily involved in forums such as NASIOC, ClubWRX, IWSTI to name a few. He would frequent his local Subaru meets and events and just know how to bring the owners together as well as convincing others naturally, to buy a Subaru. His loyalty to Subarus also convinced one of his close college friends to start Rallying and buy a Subaru Impreza 2.5RS for his start up business, now known as Rally Innovations. If you ask Billy about that, he would just say “We were just having fun with our Subies!"
