Hey Nicole Here!, aka @_darkpix_, a Canadian-born, now-American enthusiast who discovered the thrill of RallyCross in the most unexpected way.

My introduction to the sport came when I tagged along to a RallyCross school with my husband, @trboo_brandon, initially getting behind the wheel of his 2022 WRX for some practice runs. While the WRX was impressive, I found it a bit bulky for my driving style. What really captured my attention that day was watching an 86/BRZ/FRS tearing up the course, its rear-wheel drive dancing through the dirt with nimble precision. I remember thinking, "Wow, that looks like so much fun!" Coincidentally, I had purchased my own 2023 BRZ just three days earlier, which soon after became my dedicated rally car.

Now entering my third competitive season, I've discovered that every minute of seat time translates to improved performance. What began as a spontaneous adventure has evolved into a genuine passion that perfectly complements my entrepreneurial spirit. After years in the corporate world, I recently launched my own business developing specialized software for niche industries—applying the same dedication to continuous improvement that I bring to the RallyCross course.

What I love most about RallyCross is how each event presents a new challenge—another opportunity to refine my skills and push my limits. Just like in business and life, the key is showing up, gaining experience, and learning from every run. As I continue developing my driving technique, I'm excited to see how much further this unexpected passion will take me.

When I'm not zooming around RallyCross courses or developing new business solutions, home life stays lively with three cats, a dog, and a blended family that includes my two adult children and a step-son from my second marriage. Between gardening, Lego building, and gaming sessions, there's never a dull moment.
